My Holy Grail Skincare Products

Okay so I thought this post would be perfect for a Friday. I definitely have those Friday’s where my skin needs all the extra help it can get after a long week, so I’m excited to share this post with you all in hopes that you will find something that you might want to try! Skincare is something I really have a love for. I am constantly trying out new products and seeing what works best for my skin type. It can be really overwhelming to find a skin care regimen that works for YOU, and I know this because I sometimes feel that way. However, all these products I’m going to share with you can be used on oily, dry, or combination skin. I’m going to review the cleansers I use, the masks, eye creams, and then the extra products I use to give my skin that little extra glow. Let’s start with cleansers!

I really cannot say enough good things about La Roche Pose. This is a brand I stumbled across at Target about a year and half ago, and I can honestly say I have not stopped using it since. This brand is formulated in France, and I love, love, love it! It is made with Thermal Spring Water and all of their products are allergy tested. So if you have sensitive skin, this is the cleanser for you. A couple reasons I love this cleanser- 1. It leaves your face feeling so cleansed and genuinely clean. A lot of cleansers I have used leave my skin feeling dirty and not fully exfoliated. I’m a firm believer in a good cleanser, because how can you apply all your other products if your face is not 100% clean? 2. This Product lasts forever! My husband and I both use this cleanser and one bottle lasted us over nine months! I mean isn’t that amazing? I use the Deep Foaming Cleansing Cream and the name says it all. This cleanser foams so well and creates a ton of product with just a small amount. Literally, the size of a pea is enough to thoroughly cleanse your skin. They have multiple other cleansers as well depending on what you are looking for, but let’s move on to my second favorite cleanser!

Tula! Tula! Tula! This brand is amazing too, so prepare yourself to want it ALL. Let’s start with the fact that Tula means balance. So with just that being said, this brand is all about restoring your natural balance of your skin and the way they do that is really unique and different than other brands. Tula is a Probiotic based brand, so all of their products are extremely healthy for your skin. I don’t know about you, but I got tired of trying brands/products that had so many chemicals in them! So when I stumbled across Tula I was so excited to give it a try. Just to give you an idea of some of the amazing, healing ingredients in their products I will list a few out! Turmeric, Chicory Root, Yogurt Cultures, Vitamin A and C, Blueberry, and White Tea. The list goes on and on. It might seem odd that some of these things are being used for skincare, but they are really so good for our bodies! And our skin is our bodies biggest organ, so if you stop to think about it, it makes total sense. Another thing I love about Tula is the price. It is very reasonably priced! I currently use the cleanser, the Revitalizing Eye Cream, and the Illuminating Face Serum (mixed with an oil I’ll share below.) I use their mask once a week as well and will share why I love that below! If you have any questions about Tula and why I love it, other than the amazing ingredients please feel free to comment or email me!

Moving on to masks! I am a huge fan of face masks, I get to feel like I’m having a spa day without the hefty price tag of an actual spa trip. I didn’t start regularly using face masks till the past couple years, because let’s be honest, most college students aren’t spending money on skin care! Or at least I wasn’t, so in the past two years I’ve really started to focus on taking care of my skin and nurturing it. I’m going to share my four favorite masks at the moment, and the one I’ve repurchased for the past year. Anyone else have those products they reorder as soon as the old one gets low? If so I would love to hear about them in the comments below.

First, is the Tula Exfoliating Mask, this is my holy grail face mask! It is formulated with small, gritty beads (that aren’t made of chemicals) that really help exfoliate your skin. It is the prettiest minty blue color and is so light and non restricting. Some masks make your face feel tight and uncomfortable, which is great sometimes. However, this mask is more of a gentle exfoliator. I love how it leaves my skin feeling soft and exfoliated. It’s the perfect combination of rough exfoliation and gentle healing! Next are these two Vichy masks, the peel and the pore minimizer. Both are extremely simple and come with a ton of product for the price. You can find them Here and Here. So the Double Glow Peel mask is probably my favorite of the two. I use this one when my skin just needs that extra help. It is a gooey consistency and dries within five minutes. I love this one because all you do is let it dry, and then rub all over your face (gently) and as you do it will start peeling off all the dead skin cells and dirt on your face! Plus it’s kind of fun to do too.

The Pore Purifying mask has an amazing cooling effect to it. It is a very light clay, so not heavy and thick on your skin. This mask always leaves my skin feeling light and refreshed, I wouldn’t say it cleans my pores out amazingly but it definitely provides a good cleansing. My favorite pore cleaning mask will require a whole post of its own, it’s that good, and extremely affordable! Last but not least is the Laneige Water Mask. This one is great for when your skin is feeling dry and just needs that little extra bit of moisture. It is a mask that you sleep in and let the product absorb over night. So, when you wake up your skin feels dewy and fresh. I love this one and use it regularly as a substitute for my night time moisturizer!

Moving on to my favorite products that aren’t necessarily needed, but are definitely game changers! First is the Tarte Maracuja Oil. I add three drops of this to my Tula Illuminating Face Serum, and I wake up with my skin so moisturized and still oily and dewy! Next is Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream. This little bottle of eye cream is the best I’ve found for the price. You only need a small amount and it has really helped with my dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. It also smells amazing! I’ve been using this for about six months and I have not run out yet, so it is definitely worth the money. Last but not least is Fresh Rose Water. I use this when my skin just needs a little refreshing. It can also be used as a primer for putting on your makeup, so it has two uses. Rose water has so many benefits for your skin and aids in healing and restoring, so I love to use this when I’m having breakouts or just irritated skin. I hope you all enjoyed my skincare favorites and find a little something you want to try out. I would love to know if you have any products you can’t live without, so feel free to leave them in the comments below. Skincare is one of my favorite topics and I can’t wait to share some more with you all! Enjoy your Friday, and have a wonderful weekend!
